This is a tough one to review. I want to say first the Island Inn Beach Resort itself deserves a high rating. Perfect location, great beach, nice pool, tiki bar, grills to use, volleyball, etc. I would stay here again. But NOT in Room 316. All rooms are individually owned. I was there with friends and their rooms were very nice. Room 316 was dirty, rundown, outdated, and in need of updates. (The view was beautiful). Everything else here besides that particular room is wonderful.

Upon arrival we were very pleased with the location. We got lucky with parking close to building most days but on a few had to park across the street in their other lot. It wasn’t terrible to park over there. It just takes a minute to get across the street. There is space to drop off at the lobby though. The front desk workers were exceptionally friendly and very helpful with each thing! A big thanks to them. They say they clean or service the rooms every second day. We did not notice anyone come to our room until the fourth. It is hard to find a housekeeper to ask for assistance. The room we were in thankfully appeared cleaner than it led us to believe upon first appearance. Looking at pics of property you assume majority of rooms are remodeled, well ours was falling apart in every sort of way. The doors and cabinets looked gross. Upon arrival my husband had to fix the closet sliding doors. Then on second night had to fix one of the beds frames as it was apart and at any second about to collapse. Our sliding door lock was broken and thank God there was at least a board to lock/block the slider shut. Electric outdated. Moldy trim covered with paint and peeling. Bathroom fan barely worked. The hotel you can tell is old, outdated and tons of water issues. BUT Tiki Bar was great! Pool was great! Location is great! Other than that nothing nasty found in room. So that is great. May see dolphins from balcony. Watch Beautiful sunsets.

We stayed the last week of Dec 2021. Great location with awesome views of the Gulf and intracoastal waterway from our rental unit, and lots of parking including across the street. The rental with kitchen has new furnishings, but the building and rental are overdue for renovation. We always clean and sterilize our rentals, so we were ok with the old, rundown building especially with the awesome views. We saw some tiny ants on the table which were gone after we got rid of them and stored food items in the full sized fridge. We got to see 4 dolphins swim along the beach while enjoying our breakfast on the balcony! Publix and the Boardwalk are within walking distance from the rental. We got to see a sandcastle display and volleyball competitions on the Boardwalk beach. Very cool.

It was a great location and facility. One of the two mattresses needed to be replaced (several springs were surfacing), but the room was nicely appointed. The balcony provided a wonderful view of the gulf.

This unit was old, rundown, dirty in the corners, lamp that does not work, hole in wall where a picture was hung....pictures still there but sitting on ledge, cover over wall socket missing, drain in bathroom rusty and missing stopper, foil around the electric burner on stove greasy and caked with dirt, bathroom floor by tub the calking is cracked and black with dirt.....I could go on....not a queen size bed....it is a full size....this unit needs to be redone.

The staff at the front desk was friendly. The property overall was disappointing compared to how it is marketed online. The property needs to be updated to match the advertised look.

I hate to give bad reviews but i was so very disappointed in this place. The property was run down the room was dirty, beds were hard. The chairs on our balcony were broken all but 2 out of the 5. There was a horrid smell in the room. Maintenance had to come in while we were getting cleaned up because Sparano or shower was leaking in the room below us. They never cleaned or room in the 4 days we were there and when asked they said they don't do ii if we aren't there. I asked if they would come clean and they said they already did for the day. I had to go to the front desk to get towels to take showers. The beach towels were regular shower towels. The tiki bar was a bit deceiving in the pics. Overall i would not go back. This was a special trip and the hotel ruined a bit of that. Very disappointing. I will say that the view from the room was amazing. That would be the only thing that was nice

Beautiful view & helpful staff

The view from my room was gorgeous! Right on the beach. Room was pretty but the bath tub was old and had obvious repairs done. The wall tile looked new but the tub was not and brought the look of the place down. Mirrors on the walls really reflected the light. The couch and bed were hard. I slept on pillows. The power outlet and cord provided was not long enough to reach the bed and one lamp did not have a shade. Staff was very nice and happy to let me borrow scissors and ink pens. The thing I did not like was being charged the daily resort fee when I didn’t use anything. I was only there for a place to sleep because this was a business trip.

Beautiful room! The only complaints I have is that the TV remotes didn’t work so we had to operate it on the side of the device to turn on and off, and change channels. The sound on the TV didn’t work properly either! While watching, the music was very loud and the dialogue barely there. The other problem I had was the vanity area was not well lit and there was no way to get close to the mirror which made applying makeup next to impossible! All this property needs is a new TV system and a wall mounted lighted makeup mirror. I can say the view from the room is spectacular, and we enjoyed the balcony immensely!

A little gem on the Gulf of Mexico.

Long weekend for my birthday and it was amazing. So much in walking distance for restaurants/bars. The best view and right on the beach. Island Inn is our favorite staycation spot.

I love waking up on the beach. This last room was small but nicely decorated. The bathroom fan was extremely loud and the room was big enough for me my myself only.

You wont get room u choose

You choose the room you want when reserving. We went with another couple so booked rooms next to each other. 511 and 512. At check in...they moved me to 213?? 3 floors down. They shown i booked 511 and said it was an upgrade. It is No upgrade. Then they stated they do not have control to all the rooms. I call BS. If it is on tbe site to select..they control it. Extremely un happy they gave my room to someone else. Also...the rooms are a bit run down. And stayed 3 nights with only 2 bath towels in room. Suggest saving guests the hassle of needing to track down more towels.

When I checked in they mentioned a Resort Fee, that the clerk couldn't tell me what that included. Which really wasn't anything. Not even a starte of coffee in the room.

Very cute comfortable room with Gulf View!

I loved my room! It was sooooo cute and a beautiful view of the Gulf! There is even a great view on the opposite side of the hotel as you walk to your room. The bed was very comfortable. I look forward to staying here again.
