"We arrived after 6 a.m. for the night before's booking, due to a fiasco of a moving day from out of state to this area. We checked in with our cat, ate breakfast, then got a QUICK 2 hours sleep, before we had to be at our new home closing at 10 a.m. Our TV didn’t seem to work in the room (husband tried, wouldn't even turn on). The flooring had debris on it, like it hadn't been swept very well. There was a dog nearby in a room thay kept barking almost nonstop...bothering our cat & us. And there were Police & ICE agents outside, with someone in custody as we were exiting after checkout. When I asked the day shift person about possibly extended our stay an extra night (with our 3 1/2 hours thay we were there)...with some comp maybe for this...I was told that it would be another room rate for the night, eith an additional $25 pet fee for another night!!! I realize that it was OUR fault that we arrived sooo late...after driving 11 hours through the night (and having to stop for an hour to sleep, to be able to make the rest of the journey)...but come on! What about good Customer Service?!? We will probably never stay with LaQuinta again?!?"

"The charm of the hotel architecturally is its strong suit and being close and walkable to downtown - unfortunately that’s where the positive review ends. The elevator was not working and it was a tough walking to the second floor - was staying 5 nights and a first floor room was never available. The room was clean but the bathroom a wreak - no toilet paper holder - it looked as if it had been ripped from wall - no place to hang towels and the plastic shower curtain kept falling down as the spring rod seemed gone. The heat and air was temperamental. No refrigeration so had to keep filling my cooler with ice. And this was not hotels fault but the building of the new civic center directly across the street meant every morning at 630am construction noise even on SAT. "

"The Key West Inn was very clean and well maintained. The staff couldn’t be better. There were 2 outdoor seating areas where guests could get together. "

"No parking available at hotel. Every parking space was filled outside hotel. Only able to stay 1 of 3 nights, and checked out early. Hotel said that they would contact Expedia so that I could get a refund for the 2 days not used, but haven't heard anything yet."

"Loved the hotel location, hotel beds arecsoblow that you think you are on the ground. We got a room with a roll in shower. The shower was great, but the shower curtain rod was mounted up so high up that there was about a 10-12" gap between the floor and the bottom of the curtain, so the whole bathroom got wet when you took a shower. But the hotel is clean and the staff is great. You just have to have extra linens to wipe up all the water. "
