"The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!"

"The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in (except my own). The property is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are spacious, especially the bathrooms. They recommended a wonderful restaurant just steps from the back door. There are elevators which were not mentioned in the expedia description. We will definitely stay again when we are passing through."

"The rooms were dated. They could have used a refresh. There were no cups in the room. I had to use one I got at a gas station. There doesn't seem to be enough parking for guests when the hotel is full. Brock, the clerk on duty when I checked in was very friendly but the clerk at check out was not."
