Excellent breakfast! Sitting room available for guests was comfy with coffee/tea and delicious homemade cake. All very clean. Our room was small with little area for luggage. Hot/Cold water was reversed, but without my glasses on in the bathroom I couldn't read the script cap on the faucet. We ran the water for quite a while before we figured it out. Randy very knowledgeable about the area and a wealth of information on Stowe and environs. Would definitely stay here again.

We have had little experience staying at a B&B. We were warmly welcomed by Mickey "A Bernese Mountain Dog". He made us feel at home as we are K9 lovers. Hospitality was wonderful and would stay there again. The facility is older but very charming.

The owner was very personable & super friendly with a very loving, fun dog- Micky! The free breakfast menu was enormous & generous and made fresh by the owner every morning! The cleaning staff were very friendly and surprised us by making our bed and giving us fresh bathroom linens while we were at breakfast! The owner always had his extra special DELICIOUS cake out with the tea and coffee. The farmhouse, though it needs work, is soooo homey and charming. We felt so comfortable & at home in the living room chatting with the owner and other guests!

We enjoyed our stay at The Gables Inn. Homey, welcoming, clean. Loved Randy, the Inn Owner, and his dog. The breakfast was delicious. Location was good proximity to town vs. to the shops and restaurants on Mountain Road. Good price point. Will stay here again!

Outstanding breakfast. Breakfast room airy and comfortable Bathroom very poor. No counter, low sink and towel. Very sm shower No TV in bedroom very poor lighting.

Very friendly service and fantastic breakfasts.but rooms are antiquated and in need of refurbishing. Great location almost makes up for the deficiencies.

Hotel had perfect location for conference in Stowe (8 min walk). Very good breakfast and wifi included. Comfortable bed and very nice room for the price. Friendly staff with homestyle/b/'n'b" atmosphere.

Very Relaxing! Fantastic Food!

The room was comfortable, very relaxing! The food was fantastic! The owner is very friendly and so wasn't his dog. We stayed two nights. Wish we could have stayed longer! If we ever get a chance to get away again, we will go back! We had such fun. First time we traveled so far on a motorcycle. We loved it. It's a great place to stay.

Just a short stay on a road trip. Great welcome by the owner and his well behaved dog. Small but very comfortable room - there is a common living room where you can go to read and meet other guests. Full menu breakfast selection included with room. We will be back to have a longer stay.

I liked the owner's dog, Micky. He was a lovable bear of a dog. I liked the cake under glass, and the breakfast in the morning was top notch and included in the price. The room was small, but big enough for one night stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We watched TV in the living area downstairs but none of the other guests wanted in. The floors upstairs demanded caution as they were very uneven.

The Gables is my go-to stay in Vermont! Randy & his staff are so welcoming and nice (and Randy makes a mean eggs Benedict!) I love coming here and hate leaving. Such a cozy bed & breakfast in a great location. I love you Gables Inn!

The wondeful Gables Inn

The Gables Inn was wonderful! Nice old home with with an even nicer owner (Randy). He makes you feel at home immediately and when he greeted us wearing a Joe Jackson t-shirt, I knew we were going to get along. The room was just as you’d expect in a real inn complete with the double bed where you meet in the middle, but hey... that’s why you stay there. The big surprise was the fantastic breakfast which is included and served until noon. Randy does the cooking as well and boy can he cook! Delicious!! All the staff were very nice and being greeted by Micky the bernese was a treat. Will definitely go back.
