Strathmore is a pioneering arts complex comprised of the innovative Music Center at Strathmore and the gorgeous colonial-revival Mansion at Strathmore. The complex is North Bethesda’s premier venue for touring productions, musical performances and art exhibitions. Investigate the fantastic performance venue and educational facilities at the Music Center at Strathmore. Take a seat at an intimate performance at the mansion, which dates back to 1899. Visual art exhibitions regularly show at the mansion’s spacious galleries and are accompanied by talks and workshops.

Visit the Mansion at Strathmore to admire the stately architecture of the neo-Georgian building. The mansion was once the home of Captain James Frederick Oyster. Visit on Wednesdays in July and August to enjoy free summer concerts on Strathmore’s lawn.
