Paid just under £200 for 2 nights accommodation. The room was of poor standard and not very well cleaned or maintained. Stains on the carpet, the tiles in the bathroom are cracked so made it unsafe to walk bare foot. The shower wasnt very warm and the spray went everywhere but me. The sink had a hole and cracks in it.

Hotel itself is tired and quite run down, needs a large scale renovation. Room was clean but as with wider hotel is very dated. Hotel breakfast was poor. Staff generally friendly and helpful. Easy and free parking was a good benefit. Easy to access location wise.

Very hotel in some deeper and in much need of updating albeit some work was happening as floors were up but nothing warned of or briefed Room was basic, tv did not work, staff knew but declined to mention it or offer any fix or assistance. Complaints department details requested on check out and was told ‘someone would be jn touch’. They haven’t. Still. Pretty disappointing in all.

Parking was very easy Staff were delightful and helpful The hotel was very quiet with it being out of season so the menu choice in the restaurant was very limited but what we had was good and value for money. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order again because of the limited number of guests. We will definitely return.

Easy access to all our destinations but the hotel was excellent staff absolutely great and helpful and extremely polite on my next visit to cotswolds and Swindon i know we will be staying there again

Run down. It was probably once a nice place, it’s dirty the carpets were worn out. The room we had, had no hot water. It wasn’t pleasant at all, so we ended up staying at a local friends house instead!

I stayed overnight on Wednesday 3 June. On the Thursday morning I got up to find there was no hot water in my room. I had to wash and shave using cold water. Most unsatisfactory. I went to reception and the staff there was most unhelpful. I asked to make a formal complaint and asked the manager to contact me by phone or email. No follow up has been forthcoming. I feel robbed as I paid quite a high price for the room and in my opinion have not been given the customer service anyone would expect. An apology and or compensation should have been forthcoming. Please be aware of my experience and take this into consideration if you are booking a stay.

Reasonably priced hotel. Rooms of a good standard in a lovely setting on a golf course. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Leisure facilities were spotless and woefully underused, which is a shame. Evening meal was really good.

Staff were friendly, but the room was very dated. The reception has a painted concrete floor which is a terrible first impression everything is worn and dated. The pool was nice and having work done to it the gym looked really fresh and new. changing rooms were grotty and dated . Didnt eat here I went out as I was the only one in the restaurant travelling for work solo. I will be looking elsewhere when I stay in the area in future.

Fine if short of alternatives and can rough it

Fine for a brief boys trip with dad and nephew, but couldnt have brough mum here! Very very tired. This has potential to be great if refurbished but as stands is on par with a hostel for students.
