Disappointing and Disgusting Experience at Travel Lodge Sydney
I'm writing this review as a warning to others. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was forced to stay at the Travel Lodge in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Unfortunately, the experience was a nightmare. The room was filthy, with rust in the tub, on door hinges and towel rack. The bathroom fan was clogged with dirt, and the tiles were water stained and likely moldy. The carpets were stained beyond repair, and the chairs and lampshades weren't much better, all having stains of some sort. The room needed a serious overhaul. It’s dilapidated condition was shocking.
The state of the place was so appalling that I opted to pay for breakfast for myself, my husband, and my son rather than eat at the hotel's breakfast buffet, which was included with our stay. Let's just say it was a blessing we had other options, because there was no way we were eating there.
I was shocked and disappointed by the lack of cleanliness and maintenance at this hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was not what I expected, and I won't be back.
