"My husband said the skeeters (mosquitos) were so large and so many, they could have carried me away. Luckily, the property provided a electric bug zapper and he spent hours enjoying killing the little boogers. They were a major problem, we thought he killed them all and we woke up with mosquito bites and they were buzzing around again the next morning. Kinda a buzz kill….the cabin was fine, but the bugs were bad."

"The cabin looks new. It has everything we needed for our stay and in a quiet, beautiful location. The owners were very cordial and helpful and they have some awesome dogs. Great place to stay."

"Stay: Late-May, 2026
This place was fantastic! Perfect for what we were doing--a quick one-night stay in Talkeetna, and then on to Denali NP. This little cottage is every bit as quaint and charming as shown in the Expedia listing. The place is about 2.5 hours to Denali, so it's a great mid-stopping place to take in a great area. It's clean, well-appointed, aesthetically pleasing, and yet very utilitarian.
If you're a couple just looking to "chill" for two or three days before you hit Denali...

"The Owner was amazing. He picked us up from the train station, took us around the town to show us the locations that were open. He was accommodating to our requests and their son played in the snow with our son. This was a 5/5 experience. Would recommend to anyone. "
