"Everything was great! Check in was really, which is a nice bonus. The hotel was close to everything (the beach, the town centre, restaurants) without being on the main busy road. And a great price for what you get. The shower was finicky though - super hot and we couldn't figure out how to change the temp."

"Nice and comfy room. Beautiful garden with many beautiful birds and other wildlife. Close to the beach. Plus is for the distance to Galle Road (which is very noisy). The dinner was good, but far from great. The curry’s are way to salty. Same as for the breakfast (don’t try the chocolate pancakes). Beautiful place and very friendly staff. - Big minus for the hotels own landfill that you see if you take a walk outside the fences. They should really clean that up. Not ok! "

The beach is less than a 5 minute walk in one direction and the main road with everything you could ever want for food is a quick 3 minute walk in the other direction The best part about this hotel is the owner Sajeewani, she is the most kind and sincere person ever. "Very clean room.Lovely pool. The hotel is out of the way near the river. We loved the tranquil setting. Apart from our safari trip (which was arranged by the owner) we didn’t leave the hotel, which suited us because the food provided at the hotel is delicious. The only negative thing I would say is they could do with upgrading the recliners by the pool. "

Top Tangalle Hotel Reviews

Southbeach Weligama

Southbeach Weligama

8/10 Good
"Our stay was amazing, the rooftop is the best. The food is really good and prepared with care. It’s a new hotel so obviously there are teething issues like- 1-There’s a hairdryer in the bathroom but no compatible input for its plug. 2- The gym machines even though new but are not maintained or cleaned regularly. 3- The charging point behind the bed can’t be reached cause of the headboard. These can be fixed easily so other than this the rooms are spacious and spotless. Pretty kid friendly too."
