Grab a hotdog and then take your seat in the bleachers of this modern stadium for an authentic baseball experience.

Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium is the home arena for Taoyuan’s Lamingo Monkeys professional baseball team. Inaugurated in 2010, the Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium has a seating capacity for 20,000 spectators, making it one of Taiwan’s largest ballparks. Cheer the home runs, rundowns and strikes and try to catch balls hit into the stands. Watch cheerleaders perform dance routines during intervals.

The Lamigo Monkeys compete in the Chinese Professional Baseball League, which is the highest level of baseball in Taiwan. The season runs from March to October and each team plays dozens of fixtures, so there are plenty of opportunities to attend a game.

Home team fans sit in the two-tiered infield stand and away fans sit in the open-air outfield stand. Try to purchase front row seats in the lower tier of the infield stand to witness the feverish action and animated conversations that take place in the dugouts.

Find superb amenities both inside and outside the stadium. There are stands selling everything from hot dogs and typical Taiwanese dishes in addition to beer and soft drinks. Feast on fast food at popular American chain restaurants, too. Blend in with the crowd by buying a team cap, shirt and other official merchandise.

When not being used as ballpark, the stadium is a popular concert venue. Previous performers include Guns N’ Roses and the South Korean boyband BTS. Conventions with family-friendly themes, such as cartoon characters and super heroes, are also held here.

Located in the northern area of the Jungli (aka Zhongli) district of Taoyuan County, the stadium is easy to reach by taking the metro to the Taoyuan Sports Park station. From here it’s a short journey to Jungli’s A21 Huanbei station, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Taipei.

Purchase tickets for events at Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium in person at the stadium’s box office. Information is available via the official website of the Lamigo Monkeys, although it is in Chinese only.
