Staff helpful, brought breakfast upto room one morning when I was unwell. Location not far from CBD. Comfort was good.

Earthquake spoilt our stay

Unfortunately there was an earhquake during our stay and we were not able to stay at the hotel as we left in panic. The hotel was swaying left to right and it was a very scary experience. The hotel did not deal with the situation adequately and should have done a lot more. The hotel had our telephone number yet did not ring to see if we were ok, added to that we were travelling with a baby.

Man hat uns wunderbar umsorgt. Das Frühstück war ganz ausgezeichnet. Leider war die Rooftop - Bar geschlossen.

Best Hotel in Tasikmalaya with Great Staff

Tasikmalaya, West Java doesn't have an abundance of good hotels, but among the hotels in the city the Santika strikes me as the best. The rooms are ample, pleasantly laid out in a modern manner with abundant light, and kept impeccably clean by the room staff. The reception area is expansive and, again, modern. The restaurant is also well laid out, and the offerings, which primarily feature Indonesian food (most guests to this and other hotels in Tasikmalaya are Indonesians), are very well prepared and tasty. I preferred this hotel's restaurant to many in town. The hotel also has a small fitness center with two treadmills and two bicycle-machines -- spare, but everything was working and the space for exercise was good. I will add too that each time I spoke with staff or managers (I speak Indonesian) they were superlative -- friendly, eager to help, very professional. All in all, this was a far better hotel than I had expected -- very good not just by Indonesian, but by global standards.

The hotel is excellent! From the beginning all the staffs are very friendly. The swimming pool is excellent! My children enjoyed it so much!
