"I booked the La Mada Hotel as it was advertised as an airport hotel and decided being close to the airport was a good safe choice for my first four nights in Nairobi, Kenya. The hotel is 10 miles from the airport and their shuttle is $50 which I was not aware of. But once I was able to get an Uber, the cost was KSH1600 (about $14) which took me directly to the hotel. I was very happy when I arrived to the hotel as I went through security and the hotel is located in the middle of a forest. ...

"Our stay for 3 nights was amazing from the reception staff, cleaners, restaurant staff & the meals were lovely. The Troy Mediterranean restaurant was great as was the Kahani restaurant, Ezekie was a great host as was the chef Vivek. The Hotel is very close to Village Market , which you can walk to - well worth a visit and would recommend this Hotel. My wife had fallen ill and the reception staff were very helpful and comforting. "
