Nicely renovated building next to station and a short walk to Town Centre. Large quiet room comfortably furnished. Staff very alert and helpful. No lift so stairs could be a problem for some.

This is a lovely hotel. We didn't know what to expect and upon arrival, were delighted by the decor, cleanliness, and the professionalism of the manager who greeted us. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all of the basic amenities that we would expect. Breakfast was next level. A full English breakfast, including a full gluten-free and veggie option with doorstop toast. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future, and can't recommend it enough if you are looking for a clean, easy, nicely decorated, quiet, close-to-town location.

We were able to check the car into the carpark 2 hrs prior to our check in which was handy. Nice size room but the bathroom door which had transparent glass on the top was opposite the bed meaning to privacy whilst on the loo! The sash windows rattled and one would not lock so we had to ram a piece of cardboard down the side to stop the rattling noise. Comfy bed and pillows. The floorboards were the creakiest I've ever encountered so it was really difficult trying to get to the kettle to make myself a cuppa whilst my husband was sleeping. The bathroom sink was far too small to be of much use but the shower was good. Overall good value for money and a great night's sleep.

Very welcoming from young lady at reception, room clean & comfortable with good shower, although could do with rubber safety mat as quite slippery. Good breakfast with quick service from same young lady, seems she was running the place single handed, a good jib shr was doing too. Would certainly stay again.

A perfect stay.

We came by rail. The choice of food was perfect. A smaller kettle would have been an advantage - to fit better under the tap. Also a larger coffee pot, so that it contained a 'top up'. One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Thankyou.
