Wairakei Resort Taupo
The resort is a bit run down. The floors squeak when you walk but the worse thing was the bartender. He was making "jokes" about gullible Americans. He knew we were from America and the jokes weren't funny. We found him to be very rude. Otherwise, the staff we encountered were okay.

Oasis Beach Motel
The Oasis Beach Motel is a poor cousin to the Millennium Hotel (which owns it) next door. It has a beautiful lakeside location, but you need a lakeside unit before you get to enjoy that view. Twin Peaks Lakeside Inn
The shower wasn’t clean and empty shampoo and gel bottle still in the shower. Coffee/tea container was filthy, coffee spilt on bench so the feel of the place was not clean.
