This was an excellent choice for Tbilisi and I am So grateful that I could arrive late (my bus was severely delayed) and the host was kind and generous. I loved the vibe with shared facilities kept clean and a sense of community for travellers. The unsealed road outside was a bit of a challenge but it is being fixed and I passed the workers as I left the next day. Grateful for a soft place to land after a long journey.

Zu dem Zeitpunkt wurden Bauarbeiten an der Straße vor der Unterkunft durchgeführt. Ansonsten gab es keine Probleme. Die Einzelnzimmer besitzen keine Dusche oder Toilette. Lieber paar Euro mehr für eine Doppelzimmer zu bezahlen. Bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Preisleistung.

Location and amenities

A great location only minutes away from Europa Square which is a great place to start to Explore Tbilisi old town. The property is spotlessly clean, and the owners which includes their daughter is exceptionally friendly and goes out of her way to assist you during your stay and speaks perfect English. The room is adequate, and the shared bathrooms consist of 2 showers, toilets and hand basins, so no problem with waiting. Breakfast is cooked by the owners, and suits all the guests, again they try and fulfil all customers demands. If i have any criticism at all it is to do with the building layout. The building has a large frontage and there is and open staircase leading down to the lower floor and walkway on the upper landing. This creates quite poor sound deadening and you can hear guests coming and going quite easily, especially if your room is on the front towards the staircase. Also when breakfast is served, again the noise travels easily and can wake you if trying to sleep in. This being said, its just one of those things, and you do not spend much time in the room it will not affect you. I stayed for a week in September 2018. Overall the service, and quality is very good.

Tamara et sa maman qui sont propriétaires du guesthouse Red Fox sont des personnes formidables. Elles font tout pour satisfaire la clientèle surtout lorsque nous avons des excursions tôt le matin, elles font des exceptions pour venir servir le petit déjeuner plus tôt que prévu. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal à 5 minutes à pieds de la place Maidan en plein centre ville et là où se trouve le sightseeing tour. J'ai adoré mon séjour. Des gens propres et adorables. Je recommande Red Fox guesthouse sans aucune hésitation.

Excellent position, friendly staff, good value.

The staff are friendly and welcoming but inform them of the time you will arrive. The manager lives next door and she is not on reception 24/7. Similar to student accommodation but you can pay extra for en-suite if you prefer. Excellent breakfast. Plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities day and night. Air con throughout and central heating fir winter with an open fire in the dining room. Free wi-fi and a communal place to sit. Very quiet position. I would recommend this place and I would certainly stay here again. The place looks new because it has been so well looked after and maintained.

The location on a quiet street just a stone's throw from Meidan was awesome. Our hostess Tamara spoke excellent English and was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The facilities were clean and comfortable. Would stay again!

A great find

The reason this place stands out is Tamara, the owner. Tamara goes out of her way to make you welcome and to help in any way she can. Her customer service is outstanding. The guesthouse is in a great location, very close to the old town and to some of Tbilisi's main attractions. The room is simple, but clean - as is the shared bathroom. Guests need to remember to keep noise levels to a minimum so as not to disturb other guests.

Convenient location, inexpensive, great service

The location is perfect, in a quiet corner of Old Tbilisi, at walking distance of everything in the city. The place is new, and really looks like it opened a week ago, so clean and well kept. You can choose between continental and english breakfast. The english breakfast is so abundant that you can easily skip lunch. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, spoke perfect English, and provided great tips regarding tours and places to visit, and also arranged my taxi to the airport. It was a perfect stay.

Great place to stay

Stayed for 2 nights. The hostel is located in the old city. All places of interest may be reached on foot. Tamara (the hostess) was very helpful and friendly. English breakfast in the room with a fireplace was great. We'll stay here again when come to Tbilisi in future.

Super clean hotel close to the center

My stay at the Red Fox was really good. The hotel is comfortable and I didn't even feel that I was sharing my bathroom with someone else as it was always super clean. Tamara is really nice. And the hotel is a 2min walk from the center of Tbilisi, I never felt the need to get a taxi. You can also ask for airport pickup which can be pretty convenient.
