"A beautiful place—our only regret was not staying longer! Pavi went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. When we checked in, he asked if we had dinner plans. We didn’t, and since the hotel is the town’s only restaurant and was fully booked with reservations, he personally spoke with several people to make sure we were still able to enjoy dinner that evening. "We were given an upgrade at no extra cost, to a very spacious and comfortable room. The bed was very comfortable, and it was very quiet, with no light coming in at night. We had a wonderful sleep, and used the kitchen facilities in the room, which were perfectly adequate for our needs. Unfortunately the internet crashed the second night we were there, so no TV, but we were tired so it didn't matter. We would stay again, very happy with our visit"

"Gute Lage zur Stadt, die Unterkunft war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Aufgrund der Lage etwas lsut, aber Ohropax war vom gastgeber bereitgestellt. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten: die Bettdecke im Einzelbett war zu groß, das ließ sich nicht gut schlafen. Zudem waren die scharfen Messer leider nicht mehr scharf. Und eine Kaffeemaschine für Pads macht ohne einen Grundvorrat an Pads wenig Sinn."

This hotel is old (they don’t call it “historic” for nothing) and run down (featuring peeling wallpaper, a saggy matress, threadbare carpet and a kitchen that looks like it was built in the 80s). Making things worse, there is literally not a single thing of interest in Kumara (it only exists because it is a stop on the West Coast Wilderness Trail).
