"Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean, comfortable and homely and the gardens and animals were just delightful. We had our first stargazing opportunity here as bad weather had put pay to our plans in all dark sky areas. We had a wonderful and memorable experience at The Jolly Poacher."

"The staff were incredibly helpful. One of them, in Picton before we got on the ferry, told us how to see the bioluminescence, which was fantastic. The young man who took us around to feed the animals and the marine biologist who told us about the marine life on the viewing platform were incredibly knowledgable. The room was pretty and we had a good view if we sat outside. We also loved the hammocks and the glow worms."
