It felt very private and surrounded by nature, and we were lucky enough to see several different types of birds during our stay. "Outstanding experience. We arrived in San Jose and wanted to catch our breath before our 3 hour drive the next day. Chayote Lodge was exceptional. Great view, very nice restaurant on property, comfortable beds and great sheets. Chayote, the canine greeter, is delightful. Lovely!"

"La Terraza was an absolute delight. The staff and owners couldn’t have been more friendly, more helpful, more accommodating. We stayed in the El Rio apartment. A bit more expensive than a regular room but, OMG, so worth it!! Its large, has a beautiful view from the terrace, full kitchen, beautifully decorated. "We hadden hier 2 nachten geboekt om na de reis vanuit Nederland wat te acclimatiseren voordat we aan onze rondreis door Costa Rica begonnen. Hiervoor leent het hotel zich perfect.
