Disappointing condition

Pros: great location near the beach co-located with a nice Hotel Daniel (but you don't get all the perks of the hotel) Host is responds very quickly on WhatsApp Cons: No WiFi - contrary to what listing says No Free parking - the listing is deceiving, the parking we were directed to by the host is a public parking which is always 100% full due to the popular location. Paid parking across the street is expensive Apartment is somewhat worn down - spots with peeling paint, dirty windows. One of the windows leaks during the rain There is no separate room, all you get is a curtain splitting the apartment in two. We saw a roach once. Overall, I would advise against renting this, the rooms at the Hotel are not that more expensive.

Basic apartment, GREAT location & Owner

1. Location - excellent!!!! There's really nothing to say but AMAZING. 2. Parking - very limited. most of the time you have to use city parking which is very (!!) expensive (~96 NIS per day). 3. Internet- not working. We were told the internet should work when we "carry it over from the lobby" but it disconnected in the elevator. Reach out to the owner, he might be able to provide you with an alternate connection. 4. Pool - Really nice. Limited to 4 people. 5. Maintenance - The main areas were clean but some (not really needed) closets were in "maintenance" shape. will probably improve once the Covid manpower shortage will ease up. 6. Shower - BYO body soap (there was hand soap), shampoo, and conditioner. 7. Washing machine - I would not count on it. Not sure if it works (we didn't need it) but even if it does, it was covered in clutter and did not invite use. Also, no dryer/place to hang laundry. 8. Air conditioner- yes, it works!!!. Automatically shuts off every hour but did the job on very hot days 😀. (ask the owner if you wish to change this option, we didn't and it was a shame cause it was really easy). A nice addition was the fan that made it possible to sleep without air conditioning (for those like us who don't like sleeping with air conditioning). 9. Service and responsiveness of the owner - GREAT. reach out if you have any problems, they might be solvable much quicker.

The property is in derelict condition. The bathroom and shower are moldy. The paint in the main room is peeling everywhere, especially near the windows. The A/C fan grills are filthy and dusty. The floor was not clean. The A/C did not work for 2 days upon our arrival. Moreover, it is likely that the owner (Doron Cochavi) was aware of it, since there was a mobile fan placed and turned on inside the unit upon our arrival, probably in order to try to mitigate the heavy heat. Yet, the owner did not notify us about it, and as a result we could not sleep for the first 2 nights. The washing machine did not work for our entire stay. In reply to our complains, Mr. Cochavi offered us to leave the property, claiming that the rate he charged, $260/night, was reflecting the poor condition of the unit. This is not true. Other units in the same hotel, which were fully renovated, were rented for similar rates. E.g. the units of "Lena" or "Nitza". Mr Cochavi was not taking into account that such offer was not feasible for us, as accommodation of such sort during this time of the year needed to be booked well in advance. In fact all other similar units were already rented out. One additional bizarre issue was that the bathroom's A/C suction was blocked with toilet papers. The reason begin that in an adjacent unit there are smokers, and the heavy smell penetrates thru the building's central A/C ducts. At the bottom line, Mr. Cochavi is a bad host, to be avoided if possible.

The host was very helpful and very responsive to messages. The apartment had an amazing view over the beach and we also had access to the pool. The apartment could have been cleaner - inside drawers were dirty including the crockery and towels were stained and dirty. The shower was also quite mouldy with a smelly drain.

Sweating with virtually no air-conditioning

I didn't expect a fancy apartment but I did expect a real bed to sleep on and a functioning air-conditioner. The bed was not a normal mattress and I was sweating all day long. Thankfully I only there Thursday till the end of Shabbat. But I was charged over $600 for this experience.

Huoneisto upeilla näkymillä

Saimme paremman huoneen pyytämättä, eli tilavan kaksion kahdella terassilla, josta upeat näkymät rannalle. Keittiö oli hyvin varusteltu ja pyyhkeitä, astioita ja siivousvälineitä runsaasti. Hotellin lähistöllä useita ravintoloita ja iso supermarketti noin 10min kävelyn päässä ja hotellin yhteydessä pieni marketti pitkillä aukioloilla. Saimme pitää huoneen lähtöpäivänä muutaman tunnin pidempään kohtuullista korvausta vastaan. Ainut miinus, että siivousta ei ollut viikon oleskelumme aikana. Onneksi yleiset roskikset hotellin edustalla. Kokonaisuudessaan silti vallan mainio hotelli ja huoneisto.

So overall you get value for money for the location. The apartment is located within the Daniel Hotel so you can enjoy the amenities of the hotel. Just note: the room is very unstylish and the furniture looks old, even the couches were tattered. It seems that the owner is on a tight budget, perhaps to keep the cost down? But you kind of forget about it when you behold the amazing sea view. It is a large size and well-equipped but not luxury. (For example, even the toiletries seemed like a collection from other hotels!) Also, there is no cleaning included. The owner is nice but in talking to home you get the sense that he is more of a businessman than a host, in a typical Middle Eastern haggling style way which reduces the relaxation value of the trip (especially since I went to recover from a medical procedure at Herziliya Medical). But overall pretty good value for money in Herziliya.

une expérience décevante

Le propriétaire a changé ma reservation au dernier moment et j'ai du avoir 2 nuits sur les 9 dans un appartement bien plus petit que demandé et sans 2 pièces séparées.Pas de balcons non plus. Puis j'ai du changer. Le 2 ième appartement n'était pas bien entretenu et vieillissant : la literie , les placards qui ne s'ouvrent pas bien , les baies vitres qui s'ouvrent et se ferment difficilement . Le problème majeur est que hotel.com donne notre numéro de CB et le propriétaire peut préléver le montant qu'il veut. Il a pris en plus 3% sur ma réservation (88 euros) prétextant des taux de change alors que j'ai déja des frais de changes sur ma cb. Apparemment il est habitué du procédé puisque je ne suis pas la première à m'en plaindre sur le site.

Loved it!!!

Simply amazing! The location was awesome, couldn't be any better! Our room had a sea view and we enjoyed every second of our stay. Very close to the beach, great area. We were able o check in an hour earlier and were also check out an hour later! Great place for a great price.

Expedia fournit votre numero de carte bleue et non une autorisation de prélèvement fixe - Face à un desaccord, ce qui a ete notre cas , vous n etes pas face à une institution qui doit respecter des regles mais face à une personne et ses principes reposant sur sa morale .

Nice view of the beach n sea

We were given more beds than what we need. It was very thoughtful that the owner provided a baby cot though we did not need to use it. The balcony provides an excellent view of the beach and the Mediterranean Sea. The apartment has all the amenities for cooking and washing machine for laundry. There is no info on availability of parking if you are driving and with a digital parking system all over Israel you need to set up your account online to use the parking lots.

Nettes Appartment, es ist sauber und der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich! Das Gebäude ist Strandnähe aber ganz Nord von Tel Aviv.

Tired old unrenovated room, excellent location

Raphael Apartments are private apartments within the Daniel hotel in Herzlya. The apartments are NOT administered by the hotel office staff. The owner required CASH payment in advance and did not return with my change before we left (2 day stay) but rang me instead. So we lost out on about 20 NIS. The one we stayed in was spacious but furnishings, air conditioning and finishes were old and below current standards. There was junk and storage filling the clothes wardrobe which was thus unusable.
