"When we arrived the whole apartment smelled of sewer, like there hadn’t been anyone in several weeks. After a few hours of running water intermittently and opening the window we could get the smell out. There was both a dishwasher and a washing machine but nowhere to hang wet clothes to dry. "The location can’t be beat. The property is very unique and in excellent condition. Our only negative comments are that there is no mention online of the lack of a lift. Our room was on the 4th floor so hauling our suitcases up 4 flights of a small winding staircase was a challenge. Also the lighting in the attic room was very dim."

"I think the idea is nice, but this is not really a useful place to stay. My room had no curtains in one of the main windows. Not a great thing. The floors are creaky, you can hear everyone in the building, there are no sockets to plug your phone in near the bed, the plumbing was "bubbling up" in the sink, etc. A little thought would help make this place really good. But at this point it is not worth it."

"We had a lovely big apartment with two rooms and everything was very clean. The breakfast spread was very good. We ate in both the bar and the Salt restaurant. Both were good and the Salt restaurant had an unusual menu selection. The pool was also good although it would have been helpful if the swimming lessons had been in one area of the pool leaving the rest for guests. The hotel is well located for the Old Town and we went to a restaurant there one night. I would definitely stay there again."
