"After 30+ years of staying on the island, this is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. At check-in, we were told the property was nonsmoking. We got our keys and walked around the corner only to be hit in the face with a smell that would be comparable to being at a Willie Nelson concert. The hallway carpet is extremely nasty and the elevator closest to the front desk smelled as though someone had been living in it for months without bathing. We found a second elevator that we used after that. It smelled better, but someone had peeled an orange inside and threw the peel in the corner. The peel layed there 2 days & was still there when we left. Neither elevator had an inspection certificate in it. The only good thing is that our room was clean. We had already made the decision that if the room was as bad as the rest of the hotel, we were leaving. The tv in the room had 3 or 4 channels & the remote would not allow you to change inputs so that we could cast a movie or anything to watch. Overall, the hotel is very rundown. It appears they are attempting to do some renovations, but whoever they have hired does poor quality work. I took pictures and videos & would be more than happy to share."
