"The upgraded sea view room was spacious, great view of the beach and Bluewater Island/ Ain Dubai. There were no toiletries provided which was poor for a so called 5 star hotel. The lifts take forever, only three lifts in the entire hotel, expect long waits daily just to get up and down from your room. Pool area very dated, I would say the hotel is only a 3 star compared to other 5 stars ive stayed in within Dubai. I have experience of travelling here since the 2000s. The staff are very polite...

"Penthouse suite wonderful, huge, very clean, would definitely visit again. Restaurant, clean, bright but had the feel of a canteen, not quite right for evening meal. The food was tasty but they tend to stick to the same cakes for dessert, not much other choice. Would come again but only have self catering or B & B."

"Just returned from a great 9 days stay at Movenpick hotel Jumeirah beach and i was very satisfied. The hotel is not new but still has it's good quality looks and charm, i had half board the breakfast was good and the lunch/dinner also good although I expected the food quality and choices to be better for a 5 stars hotel. "The staff at the hotel are amazing. They go above and beyond what is required of them. The hotel is so clean and well maintained and the gym is amazing. My only moan about five lux is the fact you gave up pay 1000 dir to sit the closest the pool. You do get to have this back on booze and food but for someone who doesn’t drink it’s a waste of time. I really feel this should be looked at for returning guests like myself. It’s expensive and unfair."
