"The manager Anna couldn’t have been nicer. She greeted us with a cup of tea and biscuits and allowed us to check-in early and was very helpful with suggestions of things to do in the city. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and included on-site free parking. Location just a short walk into the centre. Breakfast also very good with lots of options. "

"Nice property. Clean and very close to all things in central Durham. Plenty of good places to eat nearby. Breakfast was good, but fairly basic."

"While a 10-15 minute walk from downtown, the scenery and location were gorgeous and quaint. The staff, the room, the breakfast, and the stay were just what we were looking for. We took the train to Durham, dropped our packs off at the inn, and spent the rest of the day walking around town and along the river. "

"I just stayed with my 16yr old daughter overnight for the uni Open Day. It was a nice hotel in an old building with a well kept garden. Room was comfy and clean with nice features like a window seat, newly decorated bathroom. It had a lovely sash window but peeling paintwork on the outside window sill made it look more shabby than it needed to. A few things in service could be better to be 4 star.
