"We stayed at Hotel Emeline to celebrate our anniversary, and it exceeded every expectation. The hotel is beautiful, impeccably clean, and perfectly located for exploring Charleston on foot. Our room was elegant, the bathroom was gorgeous (even down to the Kohler fixtures), and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in—we looked forward to coming back to it every evening after exploring the city.
What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the people. Every employee we encountered embodied genuine Southern hospitality. From the thoughtful check-in experience to the friendly housekeeping staff and bartenders who made us feel like regulars, the service was consistently exceptional. The hotel even provides thoughtful touches like complimentary reusable glass water bottles for guests to take while exploring the city and drink vouchers for their sister property.
The moment that made us lifelong fans happened after checkout. I accidentally left my jacket in the lobby and didn’t realize it until we were already at the airport. We called expecting to pay to have it shipped home, but instead, a staff member personally drove my jacket to the airport—nearly a 30-minute drive—so I could have it before our flight. She even refused to accept a tip. That level of kindness and care is something you simply don’t see anymore.
