"We arrived late but the parking lot was well lit and felt safe. Check in was fairly easy. Out room was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. There was a free breakfast with just a few choices. I have celiacs and had choices. My husband had a mocha from their beverage machine. Easy checkout."

"Arrival 9/18 Friday evening reception girl was bordeline hostile/in bad mood, shoved the paper work towards us and spoke so fast we had to ask again. Not a friendly welcome. Spacy clean room. Bed was not ok, higher in center sagging towards sides. Peaceful area."

New Paltz Way Hotel

"This is a small, new hotel, nestled along the railtrain in New Paltz. It's "along" in the sense that the rooms are lined up, balconies facing the railtrail, and immediately beyond (through a treeline) the Wallkill. It's well sited on a beautiful site. Of course the railtrail is convenient, as is Water Street Market, which also follows the rail trail. It's also just a short walk into town, to the bridge across the Wallkill and a trial that leads to the ridge, and up the railtrail and to the left, Huegenot Street. It's a fine place to stay, drive to wherever you want to be, but to have wonderful walks from the hotel. The hotel itself is carefull and well designed, constructed and maintained."

"I prefer a known quantity to unique, and Hampton Inn provides a fresh, clean hotel, a delicious breakfat bar with lots of hot and cold choices, and it was quiet. We swam in the pool twice in the afternoon during our 5 day stay, and had it to ourselves. I missed having a hot tub, as this property has the indoors pool but no tub."

"I stayed 2 nights. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was cordial, knowledgeable and flexible. I would stay here again when passing through. The tv and refrigerator worked well. It would be better if they had an ice machine on the premises and a coffee maker in room, neither of which they had. Air conditioner worked but takes a little figuring out how to use. Better than your average Super 8"

"Staff is very friendly, it looks like a lot of people actually live here, we checked in late, the desk is manned 24 hours, which is convenient. The room is nothing special, furniture is run down, rug is gross, but bed and pillows are comfy, sheets and towels clean. TV stuck on one channel...Room is spacious though, and even with all the dogs and seeming live-ins hanging about, it was very quiet, so we could get a good rest. Breakfast is oatmeal, packaged pastries, granola bars, OJ and coffee. Convenient location at the right price for a one-night stay. On the way out I saw rooms that had vinyl flooring, and the photo online shows newer furniture. I guess we got an unrenovated room..."
