"The room and surroundings were beautiful. We had a few drinks in the bar staff were very pleasant, listened to some great funky music with the saxophone guy roaming the floor. A special mention to Tom on reception who we checked in with, he was so welcoming, friendly and he gave us a room with a great view of our city and I loved the free standing bath! "I've been to the Abel Heywood for food and drinks many times but this is the first time I've stayed over. It won't be the last time. The room was absolutely fantastic, spotlessly clean, very well appointed - tea makings, a nice en suite and plenty of wardrobe space, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Even though it's located in the heart of the city, the room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended "

"Great hotel with modern spacious and comfortable room. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I think I got a trainee when ordering dinner though as he was a little unsure what to do. This isn't a complaint, I understand that new people need time to learn and it didn't cause me a significant inconvenience, maybe a little more supervision for new staff would be good?. Food was good but not very hot. Breakfast was good with a decent choice of food."
