"The location is great, very close to all the nice shops on Exeter street, just across from the Boston Public Library. The staff were excellent, very helpful and polite. Be aware the hotel is an older property and they have chosen to maintain the same esthetic, so it has that old school hotel vibe. Bed was super comfortable, A/C was very cold, liked the pillow, had bathrobes, ironing board and iron for guest use. Big bathroom with a tub."

The venue is central but overlooking an 8storey multi story car park and rather cramp rooms was not really value add. The suite on the other hand in higher floors were. "It’s old school and so are we! We loved the old world charm. We loved the noon check out even though we couldn’t stay that late. We never felt rushed that way. The property is very well maintained! They were even repainting the gold tipped fence finials in the rain the day we were there. The neighborhood is a gilded era dream. What we didn’t like: 1. "Great location in the Back Bay, close to Newbury Street. Rooms are clean but a bit dated. Great value since the hotels in the area are otherwise very pricey. They are very clear with their rules, obviously from lessons learned from previous guests. So if you are good following rules, this can be a good choice."

"This property is perfect! My only complaint is that when I booked it stated that we would have free breakfast and upon arrival they stated that we did not have breakfast included in our stay. Pretty disappointed but it did not take away from the beauty and cleanliness at this hotel"

"This hotel was exactly what we wanted for our first stay in Boston, the staff was so friendly and helpful, the room was adorable and the bed was so comfortable! I love that we were able to walk everywhere and we were able to leave our luggage after we checked out for the day. Will definitely stay here next time!"

"The hotel was beautiful. The lack of a hotel bar and restaurant were hard to adjust to. We didn’t want to order in-room dining every time but we didn’t want to necessarily walk to get breakfast somewhere. The restaurants attached to the hotel were not open until later, definitely not for breakfast. So that was probably the ultimate letdown about the hotel. Also, charging $75/day to park, when you’re staying 3+ days, is crazy. There are no parking lots close by. That isn’t a bad thing if it’s...
