"The Hamlet Inn is not a 5 star hotel by any means, but I'm giving it 5 stars for value. The owner is helpful (offered to carry my luggage down the stairs). The owner is always accessible. I was checking in after 10PM. The office was locked, but the owner had his number posted on the door, answered the phone immediately and opened the office to check me in. The rooms were clean. "Elevator broken, so after checking i had to get a 1st floor room due to disabled veteran and no stairs. Ice machine was broken. Breakfast was cold, oatmeal was un cooked sitting in water. Pancakes were raw, undercooked. Had cereal, then no milk. Milk refilled, but the worker needed some help. Room was great."

"This is a classic, older hotel just off of the West Point post. It looks and feels like an academy property, from the decor to the plentiful military exhibits throughout the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful also. A great experience."
