Dominica was a pretty island. It was raining the day we were there. We went river tubing, visited the Emerald Pool and tasted some fresh fruit on the island. It was an awesome day.
Two Red-necked Amazon parrots got all up in each others' business while feeding in their favorite trees. These parrots are endemic to Dominica, so you won't find them anywhere else. The best way to see them is to hire local birding expert Dr Birdy (Bertrand Jno Baptiste). He knows the best places to find the island's birds, all the way down to the individual branches that Blue-headed Hummingbird like to land on.

Convenient place to grab a meal while touring the island. Local vendors rent space from a parallel strip of stalls where they sell food, drinks, snacks, produce, souvenirs and more. Nelson's Grill House and A&E Fresh Fruit Juices did the trick for us.

Also a good place for a bathroom break, but bring some change as there's a small charge for keeping the potties clean.

Though Picard may not have many top sights, you can venture to the surrounding area to see attractions like Coconut Beach and Indian River.
