"We stayed for a night for a birthday celebration. On arrival, the receptionist had informed us that we received a free upgrade on our room! The room was lovely. Lovely decor, felt cosy and very comfortable. The fridge had milk in for our use and a couple of breakfast bits which were complimentary. The reception staff also informed us that we could get free bread & eggs to make in our room for breakfast, we just needed to help ourselves. The bed was also very comfortable. "The hotel is being refurbished to a very high standard, in keeping with its history. The staff were very professional. The room waa very clean and bed very comfortable. Excellent bathroom and shower. The breakfast was very good, with good options. The bar was well stocked and not overly expensive. A highly recommended hotel. "
