"Toast was very slightly toasted. Unfortunately, our breakfast was interrupted with a fire alarm. We were only about 70% complete when everyone was scurried out of the dining room. The meal should have been comped, however the server later tracked us down in the lobby for payment. The dining room Manager did a spectacular job in setting up an Anniversary display for us at 3 p.m. Overall, we had a great two-day stay. Thanks again! The Mosers "

"Rooms and property were very clean. Location was convenient to access almost any area you may want to go. Breakfast was decent. Pool was typical indoor pool in that it was noisy but this one also smelled musty. Workout room was fair. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall if you are looking for a clean, safe and comfortable place to stay and don't care about the pool this is a winner"

"I prepaid for a room. Room wasn’t ready at check-in. We were told the lot was full and we had to figure something else out. Have a parking spot during a busy concert weekend is one of the reasons we picked to stay there. After the concert, waited 1.5 hours to get out of the garage we finally found a spot in. Went back to the hotel and was told they don’t have a room for us (supposedly because of a pipe issue, but more likely they overbooked). They offered us a room at another hotel that was 35...

"So despite its name, this is not a hotel. It is definitely a motel and that is how it should be filtered on Expedia. Parking was annoying- Expedia description states that there is a parking garage with which the motel has a relationship and this was not available on our visit so we had to find parking in a busy area. Also, a freight train line runs behind this property which is quite loud. There is also a bar nearby that is quite loud at night. On the plus side, the staff was friendly. ...

"Parking is very convenient in a crowded part of the city with limited parking. It's free and in the basement. Not a lover of the decor, but that's a personal choice and has nothing to do with the overall function of the hotel. My biggest complaint is the odd choice of their room doors. They are extremely heavy and have a spring action shut to them that makes them slam automatically, causing a huge "bang" all through the hall even if you try to close the door quietly. Not sure why it has to be so...

"Everything was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Great location to UVA medical facilities. The desk clerk, Clay, wasn't friendly nor helpful. I've stayed here 3 times and he's the only one with an attitude."

"The hotel poorly delivered on amenities. Upon arrival, our soap and body dispensers were empty, and did not get refilled during our stay even after requesting it. We were given small bottles of body wash after the cleaning company did not address our concern. The steamer in our room did not work, and we had to request a new one. I have stayed at The Doyle before, and it was a decent experience, yet for the price point, there needs to be more staff or direct service to address in the moment...
