"Highly recommend The Retreat hotel! It was gorgeous and the views breath taking. The staff was very attentive and kind. Will definitely go again. The tours were over priced though. ~400 per tour and while the locations were beautiful it was not worth that much money. Also note there is no food you can buy except for in the restaurants there. So grab some snack at the airport. But highly recommend this place. Even in the rainy season it was amazing "

"Wonderful staff. Excellent location with great birding opportunities right outside the door. Clean room. Pool was being renovated but we were notified beforehand and provided with a complimentary drink and snack. Would return."

The only issue was the hot tub and pool were not heated

"We loved our stay in this rustic but comfortable lodge located in the Costa Rican wilderness. The staff are lively and the food excellent. Outstanding bird watching as well."
