"Great property with fabulous, well kept rooms and lovely staff. A great pool area and lots of activities for families as well as a nice play area. Breakfast not so great sadly, eggs were green, bread and pastries were stale and hard, even juice was bitter and acidic. Sadly no vegetarian food at the restaurant last night either so, have left hungry… but it was a really nice hotel. If you’re not bothered about food, it’s definitely worth the stay!"

The instructions on how to access the keys and the apartment itself were excellent. “Mountain views” meant views to the wall of a massive rock a few meters away. The apartment was clean and spacious. "Very nice hotel in a very convenient location to restaurants and main attractions. Very helpful and cordial staff. Close to two places that offered breakfast options and more for coffee. Parking was great, just not close (200 m) but close enough for us. Also very quiet considering the location. There was a very loud musician in the square and we couldn’t hear him from inside the room. Small refrigerator came in handy for snacks. Great stay! I would avoid holiday weekends, not because of the hotel but because restaurants close at weird (non-posted) hours and the hotel does not have a restaurant so you’re left with a search for food options. There is a Mercadona within walking distance but it closes on holidays too."

"Viura is an amazing place. A small village of 200 people with an outstanding hotel. 43 wineries. A place that is a must stop for a couple of days. Great restaurant at the hotel. Great people."

"Casafuerte is all about the ambiance, friendliness, & top notch service. Breakfast was over the top & plentiful & our 2 dinners in the restaurant were outstanding. Sea Bass for two, asparagus stuffed with pickled quail….two menu items you must try but all is great. We were treated to taste the families own wine, a blend of 90% Tempranillo & 10% Viura & it was delicious…Daniel is quite passionate about the family “hobby”. Zarraton is a sleepy village but not far to travel through rolling hills of the Rioja to explore, taste great wine, and enjoy the historical significance of the area. Our room was clean & comfortable. The staff were all about service! There are many spots to sit enjoy a book or sip a nice glass of wine. We got a special tour of the family winery and the caves and absorb the passion they put into it. Hoping to return to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Muchas Gracias!"

"This is a fantastic boutique hotel in the quaint walled city of Briones in the heart of La Rioja. The rooms were very comfortable and the restaurant has a fantastic menu and wine list offering many wines from smaller wineries not widely available in the US. My only regret is that I didn’t stay there longer! I’ll be back!"

"A self check- in property, which is fine. Clean - one towel was a little dirty, if I’m being picky. Couldn’t access the parking which was annoying although on street parking was available when we arrived. Easy walk into old Haro, which has charm. Very good value, so overall pleased."
