Wasn't made clear at booking that this is an *unstaffed* location, meaning they cannot offer amenities like luggage shipping and receiving, calling taxis, or suggesting local activities. All interaction with staff is done through remote video calling, email, or text. They also do not have smaller amenities typically offered at other hotels, like slippers, free water, and pajamas. They only offer free cleaning after 6 nights, which means you have to request fresh towels and arrange for them to take your trash out on your own. The kitchen in our room wasn't cleaned properly, with grease stains on the walls and dirty dishes that I had to clean before we could use.

I like that it was walkable to Sensoji-temple and nearby shopping but the distance to the nearest station is quite far. Not good for elders but good for young adults.

The cleanliness is terrible, I spent 30 minutes vacuuming the unit myself, and the carpet was still full of hair. If you want to spend your holiday to come clean their hotel, feel free to pick this hotel. However, the hotel is like an apartment, comes with everything you need, and all the equipment and tools are in good condition. The only problem is you have to clean it yourself.

Very nice and clean hotel. Walking distance to Life Supermarket. 15mins walk to Senso Ji Temple. Family mart and 711 across the street and lots of restaurants. We will be back again.

Terrible no human service. This is not Japanese hospitality. Asking for extra pillow via this Skype call at the no human front desk is a disaster. they tell you it's not allowed. Shame on whomever put this hotel as a 4 star hotel, 2 star is too high for you. Never staying there again!!

The property is located within the Kappabashi area, which is great to find all things cookware. We booked via Expedia.com, which showed the photos of a bigger apartment instead, and therefore we though we were booking an apartment suitable for four people. However, that was not the case and the apartment was different and rather small for a family. Any attempts to fix the problem were shut down by both Expedia and Minn Kappabashi. If you are booking at this place, ensure that the photos match the apartment you are booking.3

Perfect for a small family. The cleanest hotel.
Best accomodations for a small family. The hotel was ultra clean. Cleaner than a hospital. The washing machine dryer combo was a lifesaver. The toilet was amazing. All utensils and cookware was available. It was perfect for us to cook and clean and sleep as a family. Modern, simple, and immaculate. Very reasonable price. Close to tourist sensoji temple. Lots of restaurants near by. Close to 711 and a couple grocery stores which was awesome. The best place if you need practicality.

It's a great little apartment hotel. Almost no human touch and no service at all, but nothing was missing. The washing machine was tricky to use even with Google translate, but eventually we figured it out. The main problem was low water pressure in the shower and the fact that every 3 min, the water in the shower turned cold (like proper cold!) for 30 seconds or so before the hot water returned. The hotel is 10 min walk from iriya station from which it's rather easy to go anywhere. It's also 15-20 min by foot from Uneo park and 30 min walk from the skytree (book tickets to the observation deck in advance!)

The property for minn kappabashi is excellent with the caveat of one thing. The check in and check out times are far apart. Check in has to be at 3pm and there isn’t much flexibility in this (I booked two separate rooms for two separate stays). Check out times were also really early leaving a 5 hour gap for you to figure out what to do with any lugaggage (front desk does not take it). I also found that there was a discrepancy in luggage temporary storage as we got Minn Kappabashi to receive our luggage forwarding from our hotel in Osaka but they would not hold onto our luggage for the few hours between our first check out and our next check in. Other guests ended up leaving their luggage behind the counter anyways. I’d advise that the hotel review their temporary luggage policy as it’s a major inconvenience to staying here. Otherwise the apartment was clean and had ample faculties for a long term stay. I’d recommend it again if not for their lugagge storage and check in/check out times.

The hotel was in a good location near Asakusa,easy walk to the restaurants and such in the area. The room was very small for 4 people but quite clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. It was great to have a washing machine. The check in process wasn't great. Having to do it yourself online was confusing and I much prefer to check in with a real person. Plus it was a bit annoying to book the room for 4 people and only have 2 of the beds made up. We had to call the reception from the lobby to even work out where the linen was kept and then make it up ourselves, which wasn't ideal after arriving from an international flight at 11pm with small children. All in all great for a base in Tokyo.

Good stay but need English instructions
Accomodation was good, clean, has enough cutleries for basic needs. A little far from either Asakusa and Iriya stations if you carry large suitcases, but still manageable. One improvement I can think of, please provide English version of instructions (for laundry and water heater). Yes you can you translate app on your phone but sometimes the translation don’t make sense.

The rooms were modern, clean and beds comfortable but felt like we were in a box with the one window frosted over. We stayed 4 nights and the towels are only replaced every 7 days. Yuk!! Happy to pay extra but really just put the price up 300 yen and replace every 2-3 days. No staff around to help facilitate getting and paying the (small fee) to get new towels. It was a bit annoying. Other than that it was a nice hotel but a long walk to Ueno. More hotels in the area in a better location.
