It transpired that the room was almost at the furthest point one could be from the reception area and involved a number of changes of direction and finally a very steep and narrow staircase with literally no landing outside the room. "I loved it felt like a resort and everyone was very helpful. Beautiful lake view from room and at breakfast and nice short walk to see castle ruins. Breakfast was great but I loved dinner more. We ate at the bar (the dining room was booked) and it was incredible. The desserts were out of this world yummy! The waiter ask us our next day plan and even recommended some stops. Wish we had stayed more nights. Best hotel in our Ireland trip hands down."

The room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed, they even provided a small fridge for us because my friend had a medication that needed to be refrigerated.
