"For most this will be a non issue, but the TVs are quite old, and they have overhauled them with their own hotel interface, unfortunately for a tech head like me it made it harder to connect devices. They have Chromecast, but you'd better prey your device has it. The safe wouldnt work, and even the phone in the room (the style over substance red phone) would ring but when you picked up it wouldn't answer. The smart tech in the room seemed to have a life of its own, opening and shutting blinds...

"Bra beliggenhet, men vår sønn fikk uvasket dusjstol i hc-rommet. Denne ble byttet etterhvert, men sånt skal ikke skje. I tillegg så lever tv’en sitt eget liv og nøkkelkort er bingo om fungerer. Ifht kortene så er standardsvaret fra resepsjonen at systemet sier at det virker. Det hjelper gjesten lite når gjesten står utenfor døra si og får rødt lys på døra. Det finnes vesentlig bedre hoteller til tilsvarende prisnivå i umiddelbar nærhet."

"Great for an affordable place close to Oslo. About a 35 minute walk from the Opera House. Public transport easy to navigate! Clean and tidy place!"

"Very helpful staff. The rooms were rather small for 4 people, once the sofa bed was open. The furniture felt a little cheap. The one downside to this property is that the to get access to the metro station you need to cross over the highway over the bridge. There is a convenient bus stop close to the property."

"The hotel was in a great location. We were able to walk to a lot of the places we wanted to see and the activities we planned. The breakfast was delicious. There was always a wide variety of options. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Amerikalinjen for your stay in Oslo."

"We stayed in a junior suite, which was quite roomy and comfortable. Seating area had a loveseat and two chairs as well as a small desk. Staff were quite helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, with espresso drinks available as well as excellent drip coffee. In general the room was quiet, although the restaurants eight floors down and across the street had service until 3 a.m., so there was some street noise on the weekend we were there. Earplugs were enough to drown it out, but light sleepers...

"The floor was sticky. The outlet near bed didn’t work. If you run shower to hot, it setts off fire alarm and building auto locks you out at that point. Tried messaging for help on what’s app and never got any response. Avoid this place"
