"I recently stayed at Edinburgh Marriott Hotel West, and unfortunately, my experience was not as comfortable as I had expected. The main issue was with the bathroom design. The toilet door had roughly a 1-inch gap, which meant there was a clear line of sight both from inside and outside. "We enjoyed our stay at The Resident as it was well located to what we had planned and the staff was quite pleasant. However, as far as value - we felt the room to be small for the price paid. We also felt the bathroom tub was quite dangerous to get in and out of — as one had to step very far up and INTO it without a bar to hold or a proper door. "Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had an early flight out the next morning so didn’t get to enjoy breakfast. They did off to bring us a little breakfast tray early, but sadly they must have forgot as we never got it. But the room was beautiful, had a cute nespresso machine in it and the bed was comfy. Overall a lovely stay! "

"Great, hospitable staff. Fantastic amenities, including the daily snack box. Free happy hour at the hotel pub: 1 hour of free beers and wine from 5pm to 6pm, best deal on planet earth. Excellent location, quiet, beautiful. Very happy with this selection and would recommend to anyone staying in Edinburgh."
