"After realizing I had booked a "1 star" hotel, we were a little hesitant with our lodging choice but were pleasantly surprise upon arrival. The room at the Kelvin was the largest we had on our 3 week trip to UK with plenty of room for luggage. There was a small desk/table and chairs and was clean and well kept. There is a bar onsite which we did not visit. The hotel is conveniently located very near to the bus/train station and town. We only stayed one night and had no real interactions with staff. Would not hesitate to recommend for someone looking at lower cost lodging."

"We were there for 2 days and we thought it was good the building was a bit tiered the room was nice and tidy the view of the bay was great the staff were very nice and helpful and nothing seemed to be too much bother"

"The room was clean. The windows opened to allow fresh air. The hotel car park is somewhat small. The hotel is situated on 2 fairly busy roads, so traffic sounds were audible. The walls were quite thin, so a phone conversation in the next room was also audible. It was fine for a one night stay on the way to our next stop."
