"Manager lied about ability to shorten stay, claiming it was due to me booking thru a 3rd party app then turns around and denies the refund request when my third party provider requested it. Blatant dishonesty is a detriment to the good service this business wishes to provide. Additionally, please train the reception desk staff how to speak to people. I’m not sure if it’s a racial thing but I don’t appreciate being spoken to as if I’m from a different planet, nor do I speak incoherent or unintelligible english. I speak very clearly to asking me to repeat myself multiple times encroaches on micro aggression territory. Not trying to nitpick here, I’m a chill and easy going person but my last stay here turned me off THOROUGHLY, which is a big shame because aesthetically this was my favorite hotel in the Troy area. I would really like to be treated as any other patron… if I ever come back here that is. "

"Hands down the worst hotel experience we’ve had For context, we come 3–4 times a year to visit family. We know it’s La Quinta, not a luxury resort, and we’ve always been fine with that. Clean, quiet, functional—that’s the bar. It used to clear it. Not this time. The hotel was overrun by a youth sports team. Think unsupervised kids sprinting through hallways, trash and food everywhere, and constant noise. Staff presence? Nowhere to be found. A real “family-friendly chaos” vibe. ** I have two boys so I mean that sincerely ** Then the room. First one: broken TV, dirty bathroom, and “free” Wi-Fi that now requires an account. Second room: same broken TV. Third room: finally semi-clean, TV briefly functional. Front desk mentioned they’d switched to Spectrum—makes sense. We got little sleep thanks to the hallway Olympics, and by morning, the TV had stopped working again. At this point, expectations are exceptionally low. The free breakfast wasn't bad but I should have eaten it in my room (see above). That's on me. La Quinta, be better. - Fix the elevator (a year is a long “temporary” outage) - Deep clean the bathrooms—they’re unacceptable - Address the Spectrum issues—this change clearly isn’t working"
