"We enjoyed several things about our stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the hotel and our room were very clean, and the breakfast was hot, plentiful, and offered a great variety of choices. The hotel also had a lot of character, with some really cool artifacts and unique décor throughout the property that made it interesting and memorable.
One of the standout positives was the breakfast staff. There was one particular server who was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful, and really made the breakfast experience enjoyable.
Unfortunately, there were also some significant drawbacks. We were very disappointed that there was no elevator or ramp to the second floor. This could be a major concern for anyone with mobility limitations or difficulty navigating stairs.
The bathroom was another issue. The shower did not have a full door or any type of ledge/threshold to contain the water, making it virtually unavoidable for the entire bathroom floor to become wet after showering. This created a potentially dangerous slipping hazard.
We also had problems with the TV remotes, which was frustrating during our stay.
Overall, the hotel has a lot going for it — cleanliness, friendly staff, a plentiful breakfast, and a unique atmosphere — but the accessibility and bathroom design issues are significant and should be addressed. With improvements in these areas, this could be a much more comfortable and enjoyable place to stay."
