"We visited the area to meet up with family. The price we paid on Expedia was great and not dissimilar to that for Premier Inn/Travelodge, which we would normally have used. I would say that the hotel previously was 4-star, but I wouldn't say it was 4-star today. The room was clean and staff welcoming. Parts of look like it needed attention. But there was some scaffolding up and the restaurant was closed for refurbishment, so they're possibly making some improvements.

"The 1-min walk from the train station is the hotel's best feature - super convenient. Staff are friendly. The downside is the dated facilities. There is no air conditioning, and only a fan is available. It was fine when we visited though, as the weather was cool. "We didn't stay at the property, as when we entered the 4th floor bedroom it was really hot. the window was open to its 3 inch extent, and there was a tower fan, that had little effect on the heat . The reception staff said that none of the rooms had working air conditioning, so we couldn't change rooms. We decided to leave and find alternative accomodation."

"The apartment was absolutely immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable and the was plenty of space to relax in the lounge. The little balcony overlooking the marina was a lovely spot to have a cuppa! The location is very convenient for both the City Centre and the Beach. The host Joan was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come back to Scenic View."
