"The hotel was clean, the room well equipped and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The only criticism we had was the food in the restaurant, whilst very nice, was not the fine dining experience we were hoping for. The menu, which includes burgers and fish & chips, didn’t reflect the surroundings of the dining room."

"The property really needs some maintenance to it.
Very dated all round.
Champneys used to hold a high standard name as a spa hotel but over the years it’s really lost its touch.
Was disappointed with the cleanliness of the spa facilities. Was in the spa for 2ish hours and not a single member of staff cleaning anything. Mainly the floors which were full of grit/hair/dirt.
Edging of pool areas have algae.
Really just needs a deep clean.
We didn’t stay for dinner however we had breakfast...

"We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and from booking to departure, I couldn’t ask for any more.
The staff added personal touches and were very attentive. Would highly recommend the Butler’s tour for a background into the history of this amazing house "
