"Apparently the pool was under repair…but this did not bother us. Desk people were very helpful…room was clean…a bit small but that’s ok. The one side of the bed had no where to plug in the lamp that was there…but I was so exhausted didn’t need it. Breakfast was mediocre but better than nothing! Thank you very much!"

"Clean community spaces and rooms. Staff were friendly. Great breakfast and the kids enjoyed the pool area! My only issue that was had was our air conditioner wasn’t working properly. This made the rooms muggy at times because we didn’t feel comfortable leaving the windows open with young children."

"I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Arcata. If you love historic hotels with lots of character, this is a great place to stay. I loved the vintage feel, especially the grand staircase, halls with pictures and historic facts, and the classic bathtubs in the rooms. The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus. Just don't expect a full buffet—it's more of a light continental breakfast with fruit, oatmeal, cereal, and waffles, which was enough to get the day started. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Parking can be a little tricky, but the hotel provides a parking pass. Since I was traveling solo, I didn't mind the short walks and actually enjoyed exploring more of the town. I can see how parking might be a bit more challenging for families or anyone traveling alone with young children. Overall, I loved my stay at Hotel Arcata and would definitely stay there again. It has a unique charm that made my visit to Arcata even more memorable."
