"A very beautiful place. The housekeeper was very friendly. Unfortunately, the communication didn't work as expected. We had to keep the windows in the room opened because it was hot, but the street it leads to is sometimes quite loud when a car passes by."

"Mooi hotel aan de rand van Epernay met zwembad en spa. We troffen in het restaurant een ietwat zelfverzekerde sommelier die ons prima advies gaf over een moooe champagne bij ons diner. Vervolgens morste hij bij het inschenken en het bleek dat het zijn eerste werkdag was. Dat kan gebeuren natuurlijk. Het is wel een beetje zien en gezien worden in het dit hotel en restaurant. Kwaliteit van eten en drinken is goed, service en snelheid van bedienen kan beter. De bediening werkt niet efficiënt...

"Nice comfortable room. Helpful staff. Free tea / coffee and sweets. No restaurant but food is provided and is good quality and value. There are also restaurants nearby. We tried L'Atelier di Pasta which was excellent. Highly recommended."

"Nice rooms. Fridge did not work in room so our drinks were all warm. AC did not switch down even tho there was a thermostat in room. Tv kept crashing at least 4 times rebooted itself. "I didn’t like the fact that reception is closed at 6 o’clock and being in a hotel I would have thought it would’ve been open longer. The bedrooms were tired and bathrooms could’ve done with decorating, Breakfast was very poor cost us €60 for two adults two small children had to ask for bread,butter,plates, coffee apple juice and milk was in cartons there was three pieces of streaky bacon well done and the scrambled egg have been in there for God knows how long.We was only allowed one hot...

"We spent one night here on our way to the north of France and it was very convenient, clean and comfortable. Parking is included, the rooms are air conditioned (we were there during a heatwave), everything is efficient and fuss free, the rooms are clean and it is around a 10 min drive to the center of Reims."

We chose this hotel specifically because of its location just off Avenue de Champagne, thus enabling us to walk to the champagne tasting we had booked. It has no restaurant on site but is only about a 15 minutes walk from the centre of town & a number of restaurants/bars and a 7 minute drive from one of the Champagne Museums. "Au Clos du Lac was one of the best B&Bs we’ve ever stayed at. Beautiful spacious room, stunning gardens and lovely pool/spa area. Anaïs was very welcoming and friendly and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A real luxury treat in a beautiful village not far from Reims and the champagne region. We’ll be back!"
