Also the staff who served us breakfast and dinner were amazing, their service was impeccable. At the pool bar, Katarina was incredibly sweet and a highlight of our trip. "Hotel Contessina is brilliant. An oasis of a hotel in what is a bustling resort town. Once inside the doors you could be anywhere in the world. The design of the renovated hotel is brilliant. Modern and sophisticated, and the planting is beautifully done. We enjoyed 2 weeks here, using it as a base to discover the island when we had a car for some of the time. The main pool area is lovely, but be warned, all of the pools are 1.4m deep with no shallow / deep ends."

The down side if you have issues with mobility it probably is not good as there are lots of steps , the only other downside is the food , not much choice and much as a same each night .
