"The motel looks old. But was very nice, and clean, my only recommendations would be to reprint the lines in the parking lot because it's important to management that you park between the lines."
"We had a large group and booked 3 rooms. 2 of the 3 rooms were clean. The 3rd room had one bed with dirty sheets and a dirty towel. The towel and sheets had brown marks/stains on them and there was a lot of dirt/sand in the bed. The comforter had multiple strings coming out like a cat had clawed it. When brought to the attention of the front desk staff, she was very apologetic and sympathetic. She had me come down to get new sheets to change our bed. Our room was never cleaned during our entire stay and we frequently had to go down to the front desk to get our own linens. Our trash was also overflowing, because it was never emptied. We never received any compensation or acknowledgment from management. Dawn was the only employee we talked to who acknowledged the dirty room.
There were also only 2 hooks in the entire room to hang anything up, despite being a hotel near the beach, where towels and bathing suits need to be dried. There is ample wall space to add additional hooks for hanging wet clothes/towels up.
The water fill station and coffee station are a nice touch. We enjoyed these amenities.
We also enjoyed the photo op near the pool. Super cute!
The hotel is in a great location to the beach, food, and shops!
We were able to check in about an hour early, which was nice since we drove 8 hours to get there."
"The staff was very friendly. Room wasn’t the cleanest but wasn’t horrible. The view was nice but the foliage needs trimmed back. Our room was never cleaned even though we had the do not disturb sign off the door. Asked for extra bath towels, never came. Went back to registration building, was given washcloths but never did get more towels. Bed was very comfortable."
"The staff was very helpful and informative about the area. The parking was good. The room had exposed wires, several electric outlets didn’t work. The shower floor pan needed replaced or repaired, the toilet leaked on the floor. The shower head only had 3 working outlet streams so not much on the water output. The unit had tile flooring that you could skate on with your shoes on, very grimy. A definite fall hazard. The bed was nice, the ac worked well, the pool area was nice. Not sure if the lift chair at the pool was in working condition but it did have some major damage to the seat."
"Room was in need of maintenance holes in wall, mirrors with hand prints, couch looked like flea market rejects, water pressure terrible and slow to heat, window held up by bars, upstairs noise came into my unit, broom had climbs of black hair in it. While it was close to ocean there was no view. Dead flies in window sill and broken shade on door."

"Pay close attention to the view you are getting! The first photo for the property (gorgeous beachfront balcony) is most likely not your condo, which is deceptive.
This unit should not be described as "ocean view" when the property is on a bay. There are literally signs on property calling it a "bay view". Because of this, we assumed we would be on the ocean, but the waves were non-existent and the beach was not as good as an ocean side. More people were using the pool.
It was humid and sticky inside the condo, especially at night. It needs a dehumidifier to make it comfortable. We used the ceiling fan, but it was old and made a loud sound. The shower curtain was rusty and fell down multiple times and the shower drain was clogged. The TVs are very outdated and so small! This is a cheap and easy update that would have really improved our experience.
Do your research on the location. Here, you are as far out of town as possible, away from restaurants and not within walking distance of the main strip. We didn't like how far we were from everything. This was a last-minute trip for us, so we were working with what limited lodging was available, but we learned our lesson about staying on the north side of the island. You won't get a real ocean experience staying here. On the plus side, it did feel clean. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night."
"We booked a family suite to have more space. Our tv did not work, the sink would not drain, the sofa was so filthy that I took one of the extra bedspreads off an unused bed to cover it. The office staff tried to get the tv working and after lots of plunging the sink remained clogged. The office staff moved us to a smaller room. The sink immediately clogged in it but after we requested a plunger, we got it working. The pictures are not accurate. The building, furniture, and fixtures are extremely run down. I am no diva and can deal with an old building as long as it is CLEAN but this one was not clean. I was not refunded the difference that I paid for the family suite vs the regular room. The location was great. The staff was super nice."
"We loved our stay at Tybee Island Inn! Very beautiful courtyard and delicious breakfast each morning. We loved the communal kitchen area with ice machine, tea kettle, fridge, etc. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The building is about 120 years old, so naturally it needs some maintenance. Overall we had a relaxing and quiet stay and enjoyed talking with other guests and the owner. Good coffee, too!"
