"Although the property is in a great location and good condition. I was disappointed with the afternoon front desk person who was totally disengaged. When I came by to report the room was not completely cleaned (a used washcloth was left, the appliances were not cleaned, and the clock was not working. She was more interested in her meal and television program she was viewing than responding. Shortly afterwards, I ran into another guest upset he was constantly misdirected in his attempts to locate the ice machine. Based upon my mentioned experience, I would lean toward his account. For the cost, the property representatives should be more engaged with guests. Thank you."
Desoto Beach Terraces

"I’ll start off with the positives: The room is air conditioned and spacious. The terrace can 3-4 people max. The fact that I was about 40 or so steps from the beach was the ultimate plus. I didn’t need to cook anything since there were restaurants left and right which were easily accessible for the location. They were even willing to offer an early check in which was cool. The negatives were not that many but noticeable. The room can use an upgrade (paint/updated appliances/Clean the mold and water stains). I get it, it’s the first floor but it’s still a place that you’re paying $400 for so you would expect to get your moneys worth. If you’re on the first floor then be prepared to hear anyone that will be staying above you and there isn’t anything you can do about it, that’s just the way the unit is built. I wished they showed the other properties for their location as additional options as I only saw the terrace and the apartment. They also have a hotel right next to the terraces which would’ve also been helpful. The parking was covered but tight, especially if someone is parked next to you. Overall I can give this place a 7/10, would’ve been a solid 9/10 if the upgrades were made."

"We had a great stay here. We had a two bedroom two bath with a kitchen, washer and dryer. Room was clean and we had more than enough towels for our 5 day stay. Our patio was ocean view and it was beautiful to hang out there and watch the ships pass by. Never interacted with staff so have no feedback on that excepted we didn’t need anything so great! Walk to the beach was super easy that we did go to the beach everyday. Pool was very nice with more than enough seating. There was also a turtle pond there which the kids thought was cool. We would stay here again."

"It is a lovely place and the Innkeeper is wonderful. The innkeeper is very knowledgeable and made us delicious breakfasts and, of course, the location is very close to the beach which is ideal. It is an older Inn and felt more like a home away from home."

"The place was clean on arrival. To get into room was hard. The hallway was very dark so I needed to hold my phone and use my flashlight to read the directions on the door n see the key pad. The directing in the key pad didn't even apply to the key pad we had. There was no check mark on the key pad which the directions were for a door with a check mark on the key pad. The inside master bathroom door didn't close n lock. The TV in my kids room didn't work without her ps5. The pool lights didn't work so I've it got dark it was pitch black at the rooftop pool. However, other than that it was great. Good location, no disturbances, and I enjoyed it."

"A very short walk to the beach, fun area with plenty of restaurants and shops near by. It did feel like they were slightly understaffed, but all in all it was a fun stay and we would likely go again. 4/5."
