Really sweet homestay. The owner family was so kind. Breakfast was amazing. Location was good. They offer airport pickup, which I highly recommend using. Otherwise verify the address before coming because there are two different locations Praety and Praety 2

A very quiet and relaxing stay with exceptional service. Wayan, his family and staff are very kind and helpful. The breakfasts were "enak" delicious! Very close to all amenities and a very safe community.

Praety Homestay 2 is a quiet and relaxing place to unwind but still close enough for banking, shopping and to experience all Bali has to offer. The breakfast is wonderful and the rooms are well cared for and guests are afforded their privacy. Serene surroundings for travelers enjoying simplicity. I highly recommend.

Lovely unique stay
This was a lovely stay! The design of the doors and windows are so unique with handmade details. Room is clean, cute and comfortable. It is situated on a quieter road with more local eateries near. About a 5 min bike taxi to main streets. Shower was a bit of a low stream and not always hot water but aside from that the family is so sweet hosting the stay and the stay was great with breakfast included daily! There are only 2 rooms available at this unique stay so book quickly ahead :)

It’s a beautiful place, service excellence, and the best breakfast you could ask for. Older property in lovely Balinese style, within easy walking distance to downtown. A few plumbing issues resolved quickly, a few ants , but to be expected. Ask for Sana to drive you around the island, very informative and affordable. Thank you Sana and the beautiful Praety family..could use some of your Bali coffee right now!! Best wishes

If you are planning to visit Ubud, this homestay is perfect. It is budget friendly. The family is hospitable and the front yard is beautiful and green with all kinds of plants, orchids and frangipani. Ubud has an old world charm perfect for a laid back vacation. It offers you a calm and serene environment to unwind and relax. This property adds to the unwinding. There are very limited rooms here and the rooftop room is the best with a small lounge area perfect for evenings. Love the ambience and the vibe.

The family at the Praety Home Stay was very welcoming and friendly and were always happy to help with my questions. Breakfast was outstanding and the internet was fast. It is in a good location for all the attractions in Ubud. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

I’ve stayed at 50 or 60 hotels so far in Southeast Asia w/ Hotels.com and this accommodation was my best value. For the price, this should be listed “exceptional”. It’s a 4-star room, 3-star amenities for a 2-star price. Nice family and awesome breakfast included.

There’s much to like at Praety Homestay.
Good Ubud homestay near Black Warung (great food). Lovely Praety staff and family owners. Waiter/ Cleaner was so friendly and hospitable. The water pump above our room can be a little noisy but it’s tolerable. Badly needs hangers or hooks for clothing and a water cooler to reduce plastic purchases. I’ll be returning. Good stay!

The home stay is very central to Ubud and the restaurants, shopping and transport . The breakfast is amazing .very friendly people and so helpful. Rooms are basic and clean. Small issue with hot water in the shower but all good.

Awesome Breakfasts
The breakfasts are amazing!! There is a great selection to choose from and everything is cooked to perfection. The room was fine; comfortable bed and nice and clean. The bathroom was fine too. My only quibble is that the room could do with freshening up - it looked a little tired. The family are great too, very helpful and kind.

Good cheap homestay.
Nice breakfast and great service from the lovely Widia. Room 4 is noise affected by room 9 above it. Homestay is down a long lane with regular motorbike deliveries. Very small garden with nice pond. Overall it's a nice place.

Pros: -Nice lush property with pond/greenery -Rooms comfortable, nice furniture and wood doors -Breakfast was yummy -Location-easy to walk to many sights -Praety’s daughter is very kind and helpful Cons: -No water bottles provided. Tap water not drinkable so arriving in the middle of the night I was thirsty. This should be minimum standard. -Big cockroach in my room and had to move. Felt as though the owners thought I was “high maintenance” when I asked to move rooms, but they should try and understand it’s not a common thing for westerners. -Tons of ants, literally crawling on everything, belongings/bed. It didn’t bug me that much but if you don’t like ants it might get to you. -You get served breakfast in your balcony but the system doesn’t work well. There was one day that I waited one hour to order which cut into my day. They should streamline the breakfast ordering process or have extra help so that you don’t wait so long.

Excellent place to stay. Close to the town centre but set back from the street so very quiet. Lovely friendly staff who were always ready to help, organised tours for me and even provided transport on the back of a motor scooter. Set in beautiful garden with art work displayed. I will visit again.

A homestay that was better than a hotel.
The place was very nice. Family owned and they were very accommodating and nice. Perfect breakfasts! Though, some hotel guests were smoking and the smell enters our bathroom.

Lovely Stay!
Ended up extending for 5 nights. The family is absolutely wonderful! They were attentive, kind and great hosts. The breakfast is so yummy! The room was comfortable and it was amazing to be in Ubud center but a little tucked away. It was a lovely stay! WiFi is stable.

Owners are extremely helpful in booking excursions. Included breakfast is incredible; fresh, large and delicious. Rooms are clean and site is cultural. Bathroom needs an update and mattress springs could be felt.

A lovely stay with a lovely family
The family were so so lovely. From welcoming us with a cup of tea, to amazing breakfasts, to helping us out with our travel plans. Well placed within walking distance to lots of what we wanted to see, and had their own driver to help us get to places further afield. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Superb family run guest house
We stayed for 7 days and have never met such kind and friendly people. There was always a lot of laughter. Very convenient for centre of town and in quieter part away from the traffic. The help the family gave was invaluable for tours and travel. Everyone has already mentioned the breakfast which is incredible. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends

Good location and friendly staff
Enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Staff are super friendly, always ask how you are and how they can help - they arranged our transport to Gili Islands for us, and there are plenty of other tours you can book on too. Comfy bed with clean sheets and room for storage etc. Bathroom is also fine, but acts more like a wet room due to no shower curtain (not really a big issue) No a/c in the rooms, but we had 2 fans instead. In the day this keeps you nice and cool but at night when you're surrounded by a mosquito net it does take away from the fans a surprising amount and get quite hot. There are also built open windows in the room so be prepared for some bugs! Breakfast was delicious and served on your patio each morning - big portions which was nice! The location is an easy 10-15 min walk to the monkey forest/ubud place areas and 5-10 mins to yoga barn. Lots of cheap local eateries on the same road as the homestay too which is convenient. Look out for the Praety Homestay sign on the road and turn left down an ally way; there is not another sign saying which entrance is the homestay though as we ended up in someone else's garden! When you get to a little gate on the right next to a set of red stairs, you're there!!

Everything was so great and everyone here was so friendly. A delicious breakfast every morning and located in central ubud so very easy to get around. The whole family was very accommodating and booked our tours and taxis. This homestay was beautiful and definitely recommend staying here.

Just amazing!!!
Lovely place run by a lovely family. Very attentive and friendly. Good breakfast and very big room in the first floor. With the hindu shrines next to us and a nice area with chairs, a table and a sofa to relax in front of the room. The room was cleaned everyday. There are a lot of plants everywhere and a nice balinese atmosphere and amazingly, no mosquitos! Good location, 10 min walk from Monkey Forest and 15 to the center. We also rented a car through them for just 250k rupiah per day. Superb stay!

We had an amazing stay at Praety Homestay 2. The room was lovely- it was comfy, clean, light and we absaloutely loved the bed. We were supposed to stay for only two nights but couldn't bring ourselves to leave so stayed for four and wishing we could have stayed for longer! Everyone who works there is so kind, welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was also the best we have had on our travels! The portions are big and the fruit salad is impressive! The homestay is close enough to the monkey forest, main street of restaurants, temples, markets etc- you will need a bike to get around though. The street it is on is quiet and less crowded so we were really happy with the location!

If there's one place in all my travels I would go back to, it's definitely Praetys homestay. I feel homesick away from this place (crazy I know), but I have never felt more welcomed and looked after by a family before. The accommodation is not flash or five star, but it is beautiful and comfortable and homely. If you want a real cultural taste of Bali (especially ubud) this is for you. Praetys breakfast every morning is worth the nightly rate alone - I highly recommend!

staff are friendly, breakfast very good. the rooms are really pretty but no shampoo etc, water warm not hot, needed to ask for top sheet, bedding not great but rooms are very nice. No ac or tv but I did not need so fine for my needs. I would certainly go back there.

Convenient and friendly family Homestay hotel.
Praety and her family were lovely and very helpful. The breakfasts were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. Staying there you get a real sense of the community and the way of life. I was there for Kuningan day, that marks the end of the Galungan holiday - well worth trying to visit during that time. Art, architecture, dance, Mask and puppetry all easily accessed. I was only there for 5 days and will be going back. Get Praety to book a taxi for the journey from the airport in advance of going - hundreds of taxi drivers all trying to get your custom can be very confusing when you arrive tired. Looking for your name among the many dozens of names that were being waved was confusing enough! At Praety Homestay the rooms give on to a beautiful little open courtyard. The verandah was covered with very comfortable sofas and chairs to sit on while have a leisurely breakfast. Lovely, if too short, break.

We (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed at this place 8 nights. pros A very relaxed place in Ubud. Great breakfast. Very lovely, kind and helpful family. We are looking forward to meet them again. Possibility to experience a traditional living in Bali offering you to wake up by the sound of many roosters (sometimes at 2 AM :) ) Parking possibility at the main street. The inner garden offers a fantastic environment. cons The room’s cleanness is pure, no changing bed clothes during our stay. No soap, TV, glasses, kettle, plates, spoons, etc. are offered. Basically you are offered a room with two beds and nothing else. No air condition, even though during the night time you can expect somehow cooler weather.

Amazing! Definitely recommend!
I can not say enough positive words about Praety Home Stay. The accommodation is stunning and has many temples in it, one was right next to our room. The room is comfortable with a warm shower. Praety cooks an amazing breakfast (chosen from a menu) and will bring it up to your room every morning. It's in a great location, just a quick walk to the markets and main part of the city. I would recommend to anyone visiting Ubud!

This was one of the best home stays/guesthouses we've been to in our SE Asia trip. The family running this place is lovely and very welcoming. The room is big and clean. Location is great, 10 minutes walking from city center and really close to the monkey forest. The best part of it is the generosity in their breakfast. We've never been to a place where they give you so many healthy options. Overall a great place to stay, one of the best ones in all Bali. Great value for the price. We would definitely come back to Ubud just to stay here again.

Basic ammenities but a great environment. If you're a budget traveller, this is great to stay and the staff are very accommodating. Location is great with a 10 minute walk to the main eateries and shops.

not far from Ubud' Puri
Paid in cash only. The home stay can not be accessed by car because it is located around 100 m from the street. It has a balinese interior with small garden on it. They need to improve the bathroom (the flush did not work well, the bathtub did not work (no cover on its hole), and no hook inside the bathroom). We found at lease 4 kinds (more in total number) of insects in the room. however their breakfast was really good and the family members were very friendly (include the little boy).

Lovely Homestay
We stayed here for two nights and travelled right around Bali. We found that this was the best accommodation from our whole trip. The staff are very lovely and helpful. Our room was clean and private, all at a very good price. The complimentary breakfast was amazing, one of the best meals we had in Bali, with so many options all amazing. Overall we rate this very highly.

Lovely retreat in central Ubud
My intention was to stay only a few nights but I ended up staying almost two weeks. My upper room was comfortable and quaint, perfect for my needs. The hosts were really lovely and accomodating. The breakfasts were varied and great and the location was very handy to main streets of Ubud. Definitely a winner homestay and totally excellent value to money.

Amazing 9 day stay in Ubud
The four of us had a wonderful stay with this beautiful and wonderful family. The house is fantastic, the breakfast was AMAZING. They are so helpful and fantastic- it would be crazy to stay anywhere else in Ubud. The location is great, within 1km of everything and plenty of good restaurants within 100 meters. I will stay here again if I return to Ubud.
