"I stayed here for just one night on a work trip. I really enjoyed my stay. The room service was such a benefit and the bars were so convenient.
I really appreciated Angelo the doorman who helped me get in and out of the hotel seamlessly. I loved that the room felt clean and I slept well. There was a little live plant in my room - I have never seen that in a hotel!
Why didn’t I give 4 stars all around?
The bathroom is quite small. Grout missing and some rust. The windows do not open. I couldn’t get the shampoo to work and forgot my own. It is quite pricey to stay here and it l seems to be under construction from the exterior.
I loved the SF wallpaper!"
"clean room and bathroom; small elevator so if you’re claustrophobic this is not the right place for you unless you’re ok using the spiral stairs; pastries and coffee/tea/hot choco in AM are great; lobby is very cozy, lots of sitting areas to choose from; they have a pool table and set and I enjoyed playing billiards before bedtime; location is good, there’s a 24H cafe next to the hotel; and last, staff. the night staff was very nice and friendly. two AM male staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. the other two, they did their job, “ID, credit card, here’s your key card” only. It’s true that you don’t need to be friends with everyone but if you work in the customer service, a happy aura can make a difference. you have personal problems? leave them at home. your customer has nothing to do with that. overall, I like your place."
"The hotel was surprisingly great! I didn't expect too much but did a thorough dive into the reviews. Every review was pretty positive and I could see why. I took a chance and felt super pleased with the friendly service to the super spacious rooms. I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff were. I left my jacket after checkout and the young lady working the front desk went out of her way to help me recover it! The coffee shop located downstairs was also a HUGE hit with my family. The walk to Macy's was safe and close. There is also a Walgreens on the corner that was convenient for snacks and anything you may have forgotten. The hotel is a little older but that's what gives it its charm. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. They could use more pillows in my opinion. The bathroom has a tub and water pressure from the shower was great. Valet parking is a little pricey (80+) but you can self park ($50) and the location is close. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would stay again."
