"The Scandic Grand Central Helsinki is a beautiful hotel in a stunning Art Deco building. The rooms have been newly renovated and were spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed. The location is also excellent for exploring Helsinki. Unfortunately, our arrival experience was extremely disappointing. When we arrived to check in, the hotel’s system was down and staff were unable to check anyone in — even manually. While technology issues happen, it was surprising and frustrating that a hotel of this size and calibre had no contingency plan in place. Guests were simply left waiting with no alternative process available. Overall, we really enjoyed the hotel itself and would recommend it, but the lack of a backup procedure for something as fundamental as checking in guests was completely unacceptable and definitely took away from an otherwise excellent stay."

"The staff are helpful, breakfast has a good selection, the location is centrally located, however the lift is tiny where large luggage’s won’t fit if you have more than 4 pieces. The AC is not working in our room have to call for assistance. It’s a good place to stay for a couple of days."

"Wonderful stay at Hobo Helsinki! The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance of everything. The room was clean, stylish and very comfortable, especially the bed.i The staff were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. We also really enjoyed the breakfast — lots of choice, fresh and delicious, with something for everyone. We loved the modern, relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and tram stop opposite the hotel"

"My wife and I had a short stay over in Helsinki, and this hotel was perfect! The location is unbeatable with access to the main train station, downtown, and a lot of food options within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself was very clean, and comfortable. The sauna was amazing, and you have to make time for it. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel."
