"The staff were incompetent. I prepaid for my room and the incompetent staff working after hours made me pay over 500 dollars again to check in. I got my money back but it was certainly inconvenient to say the least. 500 came off my available spending. "Overpriced…but wonderful! This is the sort of place where absolutely nothing is included…not parking, not the thermal pools, not breakfast, so expect to spend quite a bit on top of the room rate. However, the rooms are luxurious and relaxing and the thermal pools are wonderful. I slept VERY well here. Overnight guest have to pay an additional $75 to use the thermal pools."

"This enormous old house in a delightful Portland neighborhood was a delight. (EXPEDIA was NOT a delight, however, because it failed to send me the key code I needed to get into the building. The on-site staff person told me my experience was typical.) Lots of fun restaurants (and Trader Joe) nearby, easy public transportation to downtown for people who don't walk."
